Biography
Steve Barancik is an American screenwriter. His first screenplay, originally titled Buffalo Girls, was filmed and released as the neo-noir thriller The Last Seduction in 1994. The film premiered on HBO before achieving art-house success in cinemas.
Barancik received shared screenplay credit on the 2002 thriller No Good Deed and story credit on the 2005 action film Domino. He was also credited for characters on the 1999 sequel The Last Seduction II. His work on The Last Seduction earned a nomination for an Edgar Allan Poe Award for best mystery/crime screenplay.
Barancik resides in Tucson, Arizona, where he founded and performs with the comedy troupe Monolog Cabin at Club Congress. He has also worked as a children's book author and a teacher.
