Biography
Steve Glazer, also credited as Steven Glazer, is a Florida attorney who represented Aileen Wuornos in several of her murder cases in the early 1990s. He had previously worked as a public defender and handled the adoption of Wuornos by Arlene Pralle before taking on her criminal defence. Glazer appeared as himself in the 1992 documentary Aileen Wuornos: The Selling of a Serial Killer, in which he is shown negotiating media access and fees, and in its 2003 sequel Aileen: Life and Death of a Serial Killer.
Prior to his legal career Glazer worked as a musician. He has been interviewed or appeared in later television programmes about the Wuornos case, including episodes of Murder Made Me Famous (2018), Executed with Deborah Norville (2019) and The Way to Go (2024). Contemporary reporting described him as a colourful figure who also featured in his own television advertisements under the name 'Dr Legal'.
