Biography
Steve Lazarides is a British photographer, gallerist and art promoter. Born in Bristol in 1969, he studied photography at Newcastle Polytechnic and began documenting subcultures including graffiti and street art in the 1990s.
He first worked with Banksy in 1997, photographing the artist for Sleazenation magazine, and went on to serve as his driver, photographer and gallerist until around 2008. Lazarides appears as himself in the 2010 documentary Exit Through the Gift Shop. He has since founded Laz Emporium and published the book Banksy Captured.
