Biography
Steve Pilcher is a Canadian production designer who has worked primarily at Pixar Animation Studios. He began his career as a freelance illustrator and children's book author in Canada before entering feature animation in the mid-1990s.
His early film credits include production design on Quest for Camelot (1998) and Osmosis Jones (2001) at Warner Bros., and art direction on Shrek 2 (2004) at DreamWorks. He joined Pixar around 2005 and has served as production designer on Brave (2012), Finding Dory (2016) and Soul (2020).
Pilcher was born in 1955 in Brockville, Ontario, and resides in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has received awards from the Art Directors Guild, Annie Awards and Visual Effects Society.
