Biography
Steve Wasserman was an American television writer and producer. He worked on the soap opera As the World Turns as a writer and associate head writer in the mid-1980s, and contributed episodes to series including Northern Exposure, Gabriel's Fire and Mancuso, FBI.
Wasserman joined Beverly Hills, 90210 as a writer in 1991 and remained with the show for seven years, later serving as supervising producer, co-executive producer and executive producer. He collaborated frequently with producer Jessica Klein, his ex-wife.
Wasserman died on 3 July 1998 at the age of 45 after falling overboard from a sailboat off Marina del Rey, California.
