Biography
Steven A. Jones is a producer and composer. He grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Design from the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
Jones has collaborated extensively with director John McNaughton. Their first feature, Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer (1986), on which Jones served as producer and co-composer of the score, premiered at the Telluride Film Festival in 1989 and received six Independent Spirit Award nominations. Subsequent joint projects include The Borrower (1991), Mad Dog and Glory (1993), Normal Life (1996) and The Harvest (2013). He has also produced films for other directors, including Wild Things (1998) and The Promotion (2008).
Jones has directed animated television commercials and music videos, and served as Producer in Residence at DePaul University, teaching graduate-level feature film producing classes. He lives in Chicago.
