Biography
Steven Velema, known professionally as Surasshu, is a Dutch electronic musician, composer and sound designer. He forms the composition duo Aivi & Surasshu with pianist Aivi Tran.
The duo composed the instrumental score for the animated series Steven Universe (2013–2019), its film Steven Universe: The Movie (2019) and the sequel series Steven Universe Future (2019–2020). They also produced several of the show's vocal songs in collaboration with creator Rebecca Sugar. Velema has worked on numerous video games, both independently and in collaboration.
