Biography
Sudz Sutherland is a Canadian film and television director and screenwriter, also credited as David Sutherland or David "Sudz" Sutherland. He has directed episodes of series including All American (2018), Superman & Lois (2021), The Flash (2014), Supergirl (2015), Batwoman (2019) and Designated Survivor (2016).
His feature films include Love, Sex and Eating the Bones (2003), for which he received Genie Award nominations, Doomstown (2006) and Home Again (2012). He has won multiple Gemini Awards and Canadian Screen Awards for direction, and an International Emmy for the television film The Phantoms. Sutherland studied film at York University and frequently collaborates with his wife, producer and screenwriter Jennifer Holness, through their company Hungry Eyes Media.
