Biography
Susan Coyne is a Canadian actor and writer. Born in Ottawa on 16 June 1958, she attended Queen’s University and trained at the National Theatre School of Canada, graduating in 1984.
A founding member of the Soulpepper Theatre Company, she co-created and starred in the television series Slings & Arrows (2003–2006). She has written for Daisy Jones & the Six (2023), Mozart in the Jungle (2016–2018) and The Man Who Invented Christmas (2017), and has acted in films including Blindness (2008) and French Exit (2021). She received Gemini Awards for acting and writing on Slings & Arrows and was appointed a Member of the Order of Canada in 2017.
