Biography
Susumu Kurobe (born Takashi Yoshimoto) is a Japanese actor. Born on 22 October 1939 in Kurobe, Toyama, he made his film debut in 1963 and has appeared in numerous tokusatsu productions.
He is best known for portraying Shin Hayata, the human host of Ultraman, in the original 1966–1967 television series and subsequent films and series in the franchise. His other credits include roles in Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster (1964), King Kong Escapes (1967), Son of Godzilla (1967), Destroy All Monsters (1968), Kill! (1968), The Bullet Train (1975), Godzilla vs. Mothra (1992) and Godzilla vs. Megaguirus (2000).
His daughter, Takami Yoshimoto, is also an actress.
