Biography
Sven Ruygrok is a South African actor born in Johannesburg in 1991. He began appearing in commercials at the age of fifteen and earned a diploma in dramatic arts from Beaulieu College in 2009. He studied at the University of Cape Town.
Ruygrok is best known for playing Robert "Rambo" Black in the Spud film trilogy (2010, 2013 and 2014), opposite John Cleese and Troye Sivan. His other film roles include Zulu (2013), A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits (2016), Bring It On: Worldwide #Cheersmack (2017), The Empty Man (2020) and Star Trek: Section 31 (2025) as Fuzz. On television he has appeared as Cabaji in the Netflix series One Piece (2023) and in Warrior (2019).
