Biography
Synnøve Karlsen is a Scottish actress. She was born on 30 July 1996 in Glasgow and raised in Helensburgh before her family moved to London when she was 12. She studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, leaving the latter after a year when cast in her first major role.
Karlsen is known for her performances as Holly McStay in the BBC series Clique (2017–2018), Clarice Orsini in the series Medici (2018–2019), and Jocasta in the film Last Night in Soho (2021). Subsequent credits include Cassie Stone in The Midwich Cuckoos (2022), Polly Hillinghead in Bodies (2023), and Anne in Black Cab (2024). She is the niece of film producers Elizabeth Karlsen and Stephen Woolley.
