Biography
T. Rafael Cimino, also credited as Todd, is an American writer and producer. Born on 4 June 1963 in Wayne, New Jersey, he grew up in Key Largo, Florida. He earned a master's degree in naval architecture and later a Juris Doctor from Georgetown University.
Cimino began in film and television as a marine coordinator on the 1983 film Spring Break and on the series Miami Vice (1984–1989). He later worked as a story editor on Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip (2006–2007) and as a writer on Real Time with Bill Maher. His credits include writing and producing on the series Big Little Lies (2017) and Nine Perfect Strangers (2021). He has also written novels including Mid Ocean (2009) and Table 21 (2011).
Cimino is the nephew of writer and director Michael Cimino. He was inducted into the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in 2015.
