Biography
Tadeusz Kwiatkowski (also credited as Noël Randon) was a Polish writer, satirist and screenwriter. Born in Kraków in 1920, he studied Polish literature and art history at the Jagiellonian University. During the Second World War he co-edited an underground literary magazine and was imprisoned by the Gestapo in 1944–45.
He wrote novels, satirical works and crime fiction under the pseudonym Noël Randon. As a screenwriter he contributed to films including The Saragossa Manuscript (1965), directed by Wojciech Jerzy Has, and The Hourglass Sanatorium (1973). He also wrote for the television series Janosik (1974). Kwiatkowski contributed regularly to Kraków newspapers and periodicals as a columnist and theatre critic, and was a longstanding member of the city’s literary community. He died in Kraków in 2007.
