Biography
Tamara Jenkins is an American film director and screenwriter. She was born on 2 May 1962 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Jenkins studied at New York University’s Graduate Film Program and attended the Sundance Institute Screenwriting and Filmmakers Lab. Her feature films include Slums of Beverly Hills (1998), which she wrote and directed, The Savages (2007), for which she received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay, and Private Life (2018). She also wrote the screenplay for Juliet, Naked (2018).
She has been married to screenwriter Jim Taylor since 2002.
