Biography
Tanit Phoenix is a South African actress, former fashion model and makeup artist. Born on 24 September 1980 in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, she began modelling at the age of 14 after being scouted in her hometown. She appeared in international campaigns and magazines including the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue before moving into acting.
Her screen debut was as Candy in the 2005 film Lord of War. Subsequent credits include Death Race 2 (2010) and Death Race 3: Inferno (2013) as Katrina Banks, Spud (2010) and its sequel as Eve Wilson, Gallowwalkers (2012) as Angel, Safe House (2012) and the television series Femme Fatales (2011–2012) as Lilith. She also worked as a makeup artist on Hardcore Henry (2015).
Phoenix was married to actor Sharlto Copley from 2016 to 2023.
