Biography
Teresa Celli, also credited as Teresa Mara Levis, was an American actress and lyric soprano. Born in Dysart, Pennsylvania, she moved with her family to Italy as a child. There she studied singing and appeared in opera and dramatic productions before returning to the United States.
Celli made her film debut in Border Incident (1949). She is known for her supporting roles in The Asphalt Jungle (1950), in which she played Maria Ciavelli, Black Hand (1950) and Right Cross (1950). She was married to actor Barry Nelson from 1951 to 1965 and died in 1999.
