Biography
Teruo Yoshida (吉田輝雄) is a Japanese actor and singer. Born on 23 March 1936 in Takatsuki, Osaka Prefecture, he graduated from Ritsumeikan University before entering the film industry.
He began his career at New Toho in 1959 as part of a group of young leading men known as the 'Handsome Towers'. After the studio's closure he moved to Shochiku, where he appeared in An Autumn Afternoon (1962) as Yutaka Miura, and later to Toei. He became a regular in director Teruo Ishii's films, including Goké, Body Snatcher from Hell (1968) and Horrors of Malformed Men (1969).
Yoshida has also worked extensively in television and made a return as a singer in 2002.
