Biography
Tetsuo Nagata is a Japanese-born cinematographer based in France. Born in 1952 in Nakano, Nagano, he has worked on numerous feature films since the late 1990s.
His credits include The Officers' Ward (2001), Steal (2002), Blueberry (2004), Paris, je t'aime (2006), La Vie en Rose (2007), Micmacs (2009) and Splice (2010). He has also shot 125 Years Memory (2015) and later international productions such as Dhaakad (2022).
Nagata won the César Award for Best Cinematography for The Officers' Ward in 2002 and for La Vie en Rose in 2008. He received a nomination for the Japan Academy Film Prize for 125 Years Memory.
