Biography
Tetsuya Yamada (also credited as 山田 哲弥) is a Japanese screenwriter. His earliest credits include episode writing for the anime series Knights of Sidonia (2014) and its 2015 follow-up.
Yamada worked on the Godzilla anime film trilogy, serving as associate writer on Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters (2017) and co-writing the screenplay for Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle (2018) alongside Gen Urobuchi and Sadayuki Murai. Other credits include Juni Taisen: Zodiac War (2017), Vermeil in Gold (2022) and the Netflix series Gamera -Rebirth- (2023).
