Biography
Themis Bazaka is a Greek actress who has worked in theatre, film and television since the 1980s. Born in Thessaloniki, she trained at the drama school of the National Theatre of Northern Greece and later studied at the Actors Studio in New York.
She is known for film roles including Andriana in Rembetiko (1983), Eleni Yfanti in Stone Years (1985), a part in Signs & Wonders (2000) and Dimitris’ mother in What If... (2012). Bazaka has received three awards from the Thessaloniki Film Festival: Best Supporting Actress for Rembetiko and Akrovates tou kipou (2001), and Best Actress for Stone Years, for which she also received an Honourable Mention at the Venice Film Festival.
