Biography
Théodore Thalès, also credited as Thelès or Thalès and born Théodore Marius Jammet, was a French mime and silent film actor. Born on 25 February 1857 in Marseille, he died on 13 October 1935 in Paris. He performed in pantomimes at the Palais de Cristal and was the older brother of the mime Séverin Cafferra.
From 1910 he appeared in numerous films directed by Georges Denola and Albert Capellani. He is known for his role as the Examining Magistrate in The Vampires or, The Arch Criminals of Paris (1915) and its follow-up episodes, as well as appearances in La fille du clown (1911) and La Fin de Robespierre (1912). He also worked as a screenwriter and received the distinctions of Officier d'Académie in 1908 and Officier de l'Instruction publique in 1927.
