Biography
Thom Mount is an American film producer. Born on 26 May 1948 in Durham, North Carolina, he studied at Bard College and received an MFA in film from the California Institute of the Arts.
He began his career at Universal Pictures in 1972, rising to become president of the studio in 1975. After leaving in 1984, he founded the Mount Company and produced films including Bull Durham (1988), Frantic (1988), Tequila Sunrise (1988), Can't Buy Me Love (1987), Death and the Maiden (1994) and Night Falls on Manhattan (1997). He has also served as president of the Producers Guild of America.
