Biography

Thomas Wöbke is a German film producer. Born on 21 February 1962 in Munich, he began working as a freelance contributor for television before co-founding the production company Claussen & Wöbke with Jakob Claussen in 1992. The firm later became Claussen+Wöbke+Putz Filmproduktion with the addition of Uli Putz as partner. Wöbke left the management in 2010 but remained a shareholder, and subsequently founded BerghausWöbke Filmproduktion.

He has produced numerous feature films, including Anatomy (2000), 23 (1998), Summer Storm (2004), Krabat (2008), Hell (2011, for which he also wrote the screenplay), The Colony (2021) and September 5 (2024). Wöbke was a founding member of the Deutsche Filmakademie in 2003. He has received several Bayerischer Filmpreis awards, including for September 5 in 2025, and the Filmpreis der Stadt München for his body of work in the same year.
