Biography
Tien Feng (also credited as Tian Feng, Tin Fung or Tyan Feng) was a Chinese actor who appeared in hundreds of films, primarily in Taiwan and Hong Kong. Born Tien Yu-kun on 4 June 1928 in Zhengzhou, Henan, he developed an interest in theatre as a student and performed with an army troupe before moving to Taiwan in 1949.
He made his screen debut in Taiwan’s first Mandarin-language film and later worked extensively in Hong Kong, often in supporting roles in martial arts and action films. He is known for appearances in Fist of Fury (1972), The One-Armed Swordsman (1967), The Young Master (1980), Dragon Lord (1982), A Better Tomorrow (1986), Miracles (1989) and Eros (2004). He also directed several films and received a Golden Horse lifetime achievement award in 2014.
