Biography

Tim Fehlbaum is a Swiss film director, producer and screenwriter. Born in 1982 in Basel, he studied directing from 2002 to 2009 at the University of Television and Film Munich, during which he made several short films and music videos and worked as a camera operator on documentaries.

Fehlbaum made his feature debut in 2011 with the post-apocalyptic horror film Hell, which he also co-wrote. His second feature, the science-fiction thriller Tides (also known as The Colony), premiered at the Berlin International Film Festival in 2021. He co-wrote and directed September 5 (2024), a film about the ABC Sports coverage of the 1972 Munich Olympics massacre, for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Screenplay.
