Biography
Tim Firth (born 13 October 1964) is an English dramatist, screenwriter and songwriter. He was born in Frodsham, Cheshire.
Firth wrote for the BBC series Minder in 1993. His television credits include Money for Nothing (1993), All Quiet on the Preston Front (1994–1997) and Roger and the Rottentrolls (1996–2000). His film screenplays include Calendar Girls (2003), Kinky Boots (2005), Blackball (2003) and The Wedding Video (2012).
His stage work includes the plays Neville's Island (1992) and Calendar Girls (2008), and the musicals Our House (2002) and The Band (2017, later filmed as Greatest Days in 2023). He has collaborated on several projects with Gary Barlow.
