Biography
Tim Hatley is a British set and costume designer for theatre and film. He trained in theatre design at Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, graduating in 1989.
Hatley has designed for the Royal National Theatre, the Royal Shakespeare Company, the West End and Broadway. His film production design credits include Closer (2004), Stage Beauty (2004) and Notes on a Scandal (2006). On stage he created the sets, costumes and puppets for Shrek the Musical (2008) and has worked on productions including Private Lives, Spamalot, Life of Pi and Back to the Future: The Musical.
He has received Tony Awards for scenic design and costume design, Olivier Awards for set design, and Drama Desk Awards.
