Biography
Tim Robertson (1944–2026) was an English-born Australian actor and writer. He moved to Australia in 1952 and graduated from the University of Western Australia in 1965. After teaching drama at Antioch College in Ohio and Flinders University in Adelaide, he began his stage career in Melbourne in 1964 and joined the Australian Performing Group at the Pram Factory in 1972, where he also wrote, adapted and directed plays.
Robertson appeared on screen from 1974 in supporting roles in films including The Cars That Ate Paris (1974), The Chant of Jimmie Blacksmith (1978) as Healey, Holy Smoke (1999) and The Mule (2014). On television he played Arthur West in the miniseries Power Without Glory (1976) and made numerous guest appearances in series such as Prisoner, Chances and Stingers. He retired from acting in 2014.
