Biography
Tino Scotti was an Italian actor who appeared in over 60 films between 1940 and 1984. He was born in Milan and died in Tarquinia.
He began his career in variety theatre and revue before moving into film, where he was known for comic character roles. Scotti played Costa in Bernardo Bertolucci's The Spider's Stratagem (1970), a clown in Federico Fellini's The Clowns (1970), and the hotel cook in Elio Petri's Todo modo (1976). He also worked in television and created popular Milanese stage characters.
