Biography
Tituss Burgess is an American actor and singer. Born on 21 February 1979 in Athens, Georgia, he graduated from the University of Georgia with a BA in music. After performing at Walt Disney World, he made his Broadway debut in 2005 in Good Vibrations and originated roles including Sebastian in The Little Mermaid (2008) and Nicely-Nicely Johnson in the 2009 revival of Guys and Dolls.
Burgess is best known for playing Titus Andromedon in the Netflix series Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (2015–2020), earning five Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series. He has appeared in films including Dolemite Is My Name (2019) and provided voice roles in animated features such as The Angry Birds Movie (2016). He is cast in a voice role in the 2026 film The Cat in the Hat.
