Biography
Tony Cavalero is an American actor and comedian. Born in Annandale, Virginia, he graduated from the Virginia Military Institute, where he played lacrosse, and moved to Los Angeles in 2006. He studied theatre at Cal State LA and is a main company member of the Groundlings improv troupe.
He is best known for playing Keefe Chambers in the HBO series The Righteous Gemstones (2019–2025) and Dewey Finn in the Nickelodeon series School of Rock (2016–2018). His film roles include Ozzy Osbourne in The Dirt (2019), Angus Young in When We First Met (2018) and James “Shortdog” Maloney in the 2025 biopic Christy.
