Biography
Tony Cranstoun is a British film and television editor. His early credits include work on the ITV crime drama series Cracker (1993). He also served as assistant film editor on the 1992 miniseries The Cloning of Joanna May.
Cranstoun is known for his long association with British comedy. He edited all three series of The Royle Family (1998–2000), for which he received a BAFTA Television Craft Award in 2000, as well as Early Doors (2003–2004), The League of Gentlemen (2002–2005) and the feature Mr. Bean's Holiday (2007).
His feature film credits include Perrier's Bounty (2010), I Give It a Year (2013), Love, Rosie (2014), Vivarium (2019), Nocebo (2022) and Zone 414 (2021). He has also edited documentaries and received RTS Craft and Design Awards and ACE Eddie nominations. Cranstoun is based in Ireland.
