Biography
Tserendagva Purevdorj is a Mongolian actor born on 18 May 1948 in Orkhontuul sum, Selenge Province. He graduated in 1976 from the film and drama programme at what is now the University of the Arts and Culture and has been a member of the State Academic Drama Theatre since 1978, having earlier worked at the theatre from 1967 to 1971 and 1972 to 1975.
He is known for numerous stage roles in historical and classical plays, including the Khan in Khaan Tüükh, Chinggis in Jamukha and Bogd Khan in Khüiten Senthii. On screen his credits include Tseveen in Golden Treasure (2016), the Morin Khuur Craftsman in The Steed (2019), Jarai in Wolf Warriors (2022) and Old Barbarian in Waiting for the Barbarians (2019). He received the title of Honoured Artist of Mongolia in 1991 and People's Artist of Mongolia in 2001.
