Biography

Tsutomu Sekine is a Japanese comedian, actor and television presenter. Born on 21 August 1953 in Minato, Tokyo, he trained at Nihon University and has been active in entertainment since 1974. He performs under the former stage name Rabbit Sekine and is represented by Asai Kikaku.

He is best known as one half of the comedy duo Kosakin with partner Kazuki Kosakai. His acting credits include the role of Slavemaster in Erik the Viking (1989), the Announcer in The Toxic Avenger Part II (1989) and The Toxic Avenger Part III: The Last Temptation of Toxie (1989), and the Conductor in the tokusatsu series Ressha Sentai ToQger (2014–2015). He has also provided voice work for Crayon Shin-chan: The Storm Called: The Adult Empire Strikes Back (2001) and appeared in The Virgin Psychics (2015). Sekine has directed the 2014 film So-On: The Five Oyaji.

His daughter is tarento Mari Sekine. He received the 21st Best Father Yellow Ribbon Award in the entertainment division in 2002.
