Biography
Ursula Yovich is an Aboriginal Australian actress and singer. Born in Darwin in 1977, she trained at the Aboriginal Centre for the Performing Arts in Perth, graduating in 1996, and has appeared in more than 50 stage and musical theatre productions.
Her film roles include Alice in Jindabyne (2006), Daisy in Australia (2008), Maria in Goldstone (2016) and Carol in The Royal Hotel (2023). On television she has appeared in Mystery Road (2018) as Pansy, Troppo (2022) as Ronnie and Home and Away (2023) as Victoria Hudson. She co-wrote and performed in the rock musical Barbara and the Camp Dogs (2017).
Yovich has received three Helpmann Awards, including for Best Female Actor in a Play in 2007 for Capricornia and for Best Female Actor in a Musical in 2019 for Barbara and the Camp Dogs.
