Biography
Václav Neckář is a Czech singer and actor. Born in Prague on 23 October 1943, he began performing in theatre in Most from 1962 and later in Plzeň before moving to Prague.
He gained prominence as a member of the vocal group Golden Kids alongside Marta Kubišová and Helena Vondráčková. As an actor he is known for the leading role of trainee Miloš Hrma in Jiří Menzel's Closely Watched Trains (1966) and for appearances in Larks on a String (1969) and The Incredibly Sad Princess (1968).
Neckář is the nephew of actor Eduard Dubský and brother of musician Jan Neckář.
