Biography
Valentin Ivanovich Zubkov (Russian: Валентин Иванович Зубков) was a Soviet film actor. He was born on 12 May 1923 in Peschanoye, Ryazan Governorate, and died on 18 January 1979 in Moscow.
Zubkov trained at the Armavir Military Aviation School (1941–1943) and served as a pilot during the Second World War. He made his film debut in It Began This Way (1956) and later joined the Theater Studio of Film Actor in 1960. He is known for his roles as Stepan in The Cranes Are Flying (1957) and as Kholin in Ivan's Childhood (1962), as well as appearances in The Communist (1958), Our Father's House (1959) and A Day of Happiness (1963). He was credited as V. Zubkov and received the title of Honoured Artist of the RSFSR in 1969.
