Biography
Valentine Camax was a French actress. Born Valentine Alice Denfer on 28 September 1883 in Sèvres, she worked as a music-hall performer and stage actress before appearing in films from the 1930s onwards.
She is credited as the Englishwoman in Jacques Tati's Monsieur Hulot's Holiday (1953). Other screen roles include appearances in Partir (1931), Adventures of Captain Fabian (1951) and Foreign Intrigue (1956), as well as a television episode in 1971. She died on 30 August 1978 in Bricqueville-sur-Mer, Manche.
