Biography
Vanessa Nirode is a costume designer, tailor and pattern maker who has worked in film and television for more than 35 years. Her credits include key set costumer roles on Sin City (2005), Death Proof (2007) and Planet Terror (2007), and set costumer on Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over (2003) and The Return (2006). She has also served as head tailor or tailor on numerous television series and films, including Power (2015–2018), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2024) and Poker Face (2025).
Nirode received costume designer credits on the films Mars (2010) and Motion Sickness (2010). On Rustin (2023) she worked as a tailor. She has written articles on tailoring, sewing and costume construction for publications including Threads and Wirecutter.
