Biography
Vasilis Kolovos is a Greek actor. He trained at the Drama School of the Athens Conservatory, graduating in 1967, and made his stage debut in 1971 with the troupe of Jenny Karezi and Kostas Kazakos. He also appeared in his first film that year, Sergios and Anna.
Kolovos has worked extensively in theatre, film and television. He is known for roles in films by Theo Angelopoulos, including the truck driver in Landscape in the Mist (1988), Spyros in The Weeping Meadow (2004) and the doctor in Eternity and a Day (1998). Other credits include Jupiter's Thigh (1980) as a police inspector. In 2024 he received the Hellenic Film Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in Exelixi.
