Biography
Vera Herbert is a writer and producer. She graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts School of Filmmaking in screenwriting in 2011.
She wrote episodes of the MTV series Awkward. (2011) and later joined the writing staff of the NBC drama This Is Us (2016), where she wrote nine episodes and held producer roles including co-executive producer. Her episode 'The Trip' won a Writers Guild of America Award for Episodic Drama in 2017. She has also written the films Don't Make Me Go (2022) and The Map That Leads to You (2025).
Herbert shared in four Primetime Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Drama Series for This Is Us.
