Biography
Victor Moore (also credited as Victor Fred Moore) was an American actor of stage and screen. Born in Hammonton, New Jersey, he began his career in vaudeville and made his Broadway debut in the 1890s. He became a prominent comedian on Broadway in the 1920s and 1930s, appearing in productions including Of Thee I Sing and Anything Goes.
Moore appeared in more than 50 films. He is known for roles such as Pop Cardetti in Swing Time (1936), Barkley Cooper in Make Way for Tomorrow (1937), and Aloysius T. McKeever in It Happened on Fifth Avenue (1947). He was married to actress Emma Littlefield until her death in 1934 and later to Shirley Paige. Moore died in East Islip, New York, in 1962.
