Biography
Viet Nguyen is an American television director and former editor. An Austin native, he graduated from the University of Texas film school and is based in Los Angeles.
He began his career in post-production, working as an editor on series including Party Down (2009–2010) and iZombie (2015). Nguyen later transitioned to directing, with credits on The Flash (2014), DC's Legends of Tomorrow (2016), Lucifer (2016), Chilling Adventures of Sabrina (2018), Jane the Virgin (2014), Dynasty (2017), The Midnight Club (2022), The Recruit (2022) and High Potential (2024). He also directed an episode of the Party Down revival in 2023.
Nguyen has directed short films and made his feature debut with Crush the Skull (2015). He has received five wins and one nomination for his work.
