Biography
Vijay Maurya is an Indian actor, screenwriter and director who works in Hindi and Marathi films and theatre. He began his career in theatre, training under Satyadev Dubey and performing at Prithvi Theatre from 1993 to 2008.
Maurya is known for acting roles including Mukesh 'The Mongoose' in The White Tiger (2021), Ateeq Khan in Gully Boy (2019), Ram G. Verma in Sacred Games (2018) and Dawood Ibrahim in Black Friday (2004). He has also written screenplays and dialogues for films such as Chillar Party (2011), for which he shared a National Film Award for Best Screenplay, and Gully Boy (2019). His directing credits include Mast Mein Rehne Ka (2023) and the series Crash Course (2022).
