Biography
Vijay Raaz is an Indian actor who appears primarily in Hindi films. He was born on 5 June 1963 in Delhi and trained in theatre, performing with college dramatic societies and at the National School of Drama. He moved to Mumbai to pursue film work and made his screen debut in Bhopal Express (1999).
Raaz gained widespread recognition for his role as wedding planner P.K. Dubey in Mira Nair’s Monsoon Wedding (2001). He has since appeared in numerous films, often in comic or supporting parts, including Dhamaal (2007), Delhi Belly (2011), Stree (2018), Gully Boy (2019) and Gangubai Kathiawadi (2022). He made his directorial debut with Kya Dilli Kya Lahore (2014) and has also worked as a narrator.
