Biography
Viktor Antonovich Avdyushko (Russian: Виктор Антонович Авдюшко) was a Soviet actor. He was born on 11 January 1925 in Moscow and died there on 19 November 1975. He studied at the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography under Yuli Raizman, graduating in 1949, and joined the Mosfilm studio.
Avdyushko made his screen debut in The Young Guard (1948) and appeared in around fifty films. He played the sailor in Miklós Jancsó's The Red and the White (1967) and a platoon commander in The Dawns Here Are Quiet (1972). He was named Meritorious Artist of the Russian SFSR in 1965 and People's Artist of the Russian SFSR in 1974. He was married to Estonian actress Liina Orlova.
