Biography
Viktor Sergeyevich Rozov was a Soviet and Russian dramatist and screenwriter. He wrote the screenplay for the 1957 film The Cranes Are Flying, directed by Mikhail Kalatozov, which was adapted from his play Alive Forever (also known as Вечно живые).
Rozov wrote more than twenty plays and six film scripts. Other credited screenplays include Letter Never Sent (1960). He graduated from the Gorky Literary Institute in 1953 and later taught there, becoming a professor. He was a member of the Union of Soviet Writers and president of the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts.
