Biography
Vinny Thomas is an American actor, writer and comedian. He is known for viral videos on social media platforms and for his work in television and film.
Raised in Denver, Colorado, Thomas trained in improvisational comedy at the Bovine Metropolis Theater and Rise Comedy. He later moved to Chicago, where he trained at The Second City and performed with the house improv group Twisty. He studied broadcast journalism in college.
Thomas's first major television role was as Omar in the Apple TV+ series Platonic (2023–). He has also appeared as Senator Jai Kell in Ahsoka (2023) and as Davey in the film You're Cordially Invited (2025). He has contributed guest writing to Wait Wait... Don't Tell Me! and received recognition in lists of up-and-coming comedians from USA Today and Vulture in 2022.
