Biography
Virginia Field (4 November 1917 – 2 January 1992) was a British-born film and television actress. Born Margaret St. John Field in London, she was the niece of stage actress and director Auriol Lee. She made her screen debut in the British comedy The Lady Is Willing (1934) and appeared as Miss Herbert in Little Lord Fauntleroy (1936).
Field played Kitty in Waterloo Bridge (1940) and Elinor Harris in Dance, Girl, Dance (1940). She appeared in several entries in 20th Century Fox's Mr. Moto series in the late 1930s, as well as Hudson's Bay (1941) and the noir film Repeat Performance (1947). She made numerous television appearances in the 1950s and 1960s, including six guest roles on Perry Mason (1957). Field was married to actors Paul Douglas and Willard Parker. She received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.
